What am I looking for?

High quality, vintage pieces from the 1920s - 1990s.  These should be unique, unusual, one-off pieces that fit with my established style and standard.

Remember, nothing is too outrageous.  My clients love stand-out pieces; if you think it might be too weird, it’s probably not.  Please, send through details as below and I would be delighted to cast my eye over it.

Do you accept contemporary, pre-loved pieces?

If the item is a true one-off, e.g. a sample piece, or you have a high-end designer piece from the modern era, I am always willing to take a look and see if it could work.

Please note, however, that I do not accept any pieces from modern day high-street brands, i.e. Zara, H&M, Shein etc.

How much do you charge?

Below is the percentage you will make when your consigned item(s) sell with D+V:

35% for items priced £50-£99

50% for items priced £100-£199

60% for items priced £200-£299

70% for items priced above £300

  • You must have a PayPal account to sell and consign with me.

  • All taxes and payment charges are covered within my fee.

How will it work?

  • Email me with a thorough description of the piece, its condition and sizing. This should include measurements as well as the label size. Please also ensure you attach a series of clear photos including, where present, any labels on your piece(s), as this will help me to date them.

    Send to: cassie.darlingvintage@gmail.com

  • If I feel that it’s a good fit for DARLING+VINTAGE, I will then give you a preliminary price for the retail value of your item(s).

This is based on painstakingly careful research into the current market value of similar pieces. It will take into account - amongst other factors - rarity, desirability and condition. Please note, a final and definitive price can only be offered once I have received and evaluated the piece in person.

  • Once an agreement to proceed has been reached, you can pop your item in the post. The shipping cost will be at your own initial expense, but will consequently be deducted from my fee once the item sells. (Or from the first item, if you’ve sent more than one.)

Your items should be sent in a clean condition and I ask that you are transparent with me from the off-set if any further cleaning or mending is required.

I am committed to sustainability and am happy to undertake light cleaning and mending. But if the item needs dry cleaning, this will be deducted from your final payment, with the receipt for services attached.

  • From this point, I handle all photography, marketing and customer enquires regarding your item.

  • Once your item sells, you will be paid upon completion of the 14 day return window. It’s important to note that I regularly ship internationally, and on this occasion, payouts may take a little longer.

Terms and conditions

a) If items received are not in the described condition and/or deemed unfit for resale, they will be donated to charity.

b) My collections are planned in advance.  They are curated by colour, season, and trend. This means that your consigned piece may not appear for immediate sale.  It could take anywhere from one-six months for your item to feature on the website.

It’s important to be aware of this prior to contacting me regarding any potential consignment.  If you are looking a quick sale, this may not be the option for you.

c) Your item will remain at full price on the website for one entire season.  Once the season ends, it will automatically move into a period of sale, during which further reductions may be added. These discounts will affect the final resale price and, therefore, the amount you will receive once the item sells.  Please refer to the pricing chart above for the pay-out breakdown.

d) After 365 days, if the consigned item remains unsold, D+V reserves the right to donate the item to charity.  You will, unfortunately, not be compensated for this.

If you wish your item to be returned, this must be made clear to me during the early stages of discussion. The cost of any return shipping is payable by the consigner.
